Michael J. Betts is an experienced alternative dispute resolution (ADR) neutral, having frequently served as a mediator and arbitrator in securities and investment-related cases as well in commercial litigation cases and business disputes.  Mr. Betts is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and provides litigants and their counsel with four types of ADR-related services:

Mr. Betts is on the approved roster of mediators and ADR neutrals for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. In addition, Mr. Betts has been certified by the Court as an approved Special Master, assisting the Court, upon appointment by one of its judges, in addressing disputes involving e-discovery and other discovery-related issues.

Mr. Betts also is on the national panel of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association to serve as an arbitrator for commercial and consumer cases, is certified by FINRA Dispute Resolution to serve as a mediator and arbitrator in FINRA arbitration proceedings, and is qualified by National Arbitration and Mediation to provide mediation and arbitration services in Pennsylvania.
